  1. These are rough drafts of the design layout for my site. I am considering changing my logo/name and adding animated elements.

  2. I really like the name of your site. I wouldn't change that. Animated elements may work well, but what would the they be of? You should put some of them up on your blog, and ask the class what they would think of them.

If I seem to just be like, this is what I think is not working so well, and don't say too much about how I like certain things...I'm sorry. I'm trying to give you as much feedback as I can. I really like your designs. Your homepage seems really thought out, yet your interior pages seem to slack off just a tad bit from the overall design of the homepage. In each of the individual sections I'll try to give you suggestions on how you might be able to take more from the homepage to be able to get the site to feel like one whole site. Overall you have the design in your head that you want, and I see you trying to get that across, just some parts need just a little bit more help.
    ------------
    Top page:

I like the idea of having the articles in a "book" but how is it going to be set. I would have liked to see some sort of text on this page, so I know what it would look/feel like.

Are you going to have the actual articles on the pages of the book, or just links to the articles? Are you going to have it where the pages turn or just a next button. This page seems really disjointed from the rest of the site. It's not as artistically done. It seems plain compared to the other pages.

I think having that font (that is for article) conflicts with the logo. Being so close to the logo and being that big, it makes the title of the site seem unimportant.

I don't know if you would need a completely separate page for articles, books and such. I think that you would have enough room on the bottom page to just incorporate that all in the huge box that you have left for the definition.

    Bottom page:

The first thing I noticed with this page is that you have Web and Computer Basics on the same page. Yet your Homepage gives the feeling that they are on two different pages.

Try some where incorporating into this page the design that you have behind the word Basic on the Homepage. So they look more joined together.

Also the lines you have between the words "Basic," "Web" and "Design Process" need to be moved down so they are not sitting on the same baseline as those words, but are centered with the x-height of the words. Also have the darker line go up to that dividing line.

I hope this helps you. If you have any questions on what I wrote, feel free to email me and ask me what I meant.

Also you might want to do something about the fact that your homepage is a smaller dimension than your interior pages. Or maybe that just the way the images loaded. Actually looking back on your homepage...are you going to have it where there is all that orange around the edges?? Try seeing what it would look like extending the top bar to be all the way across the top. And eliminating that excess "orange" space.
